Battery Services
A dead or weak battery is a common reason for a vehicle not starting, so it's important to diagnose and replace it when needed.
Testing Voltage:
Tech will use a multimeter or battery tester to measure the voltage across the battery terminals. A fully charged battery should read around 12.6 volts. If it reads significantly lower (below 12 volts), the battery may be weak or dead.
Load Test:
This test can determine the battery's ability to hold a charge under load and is more accurate than a voltage test.
Apply Anti-Corrosion Spray:
Apply a battery terminal protector or anti-corrosion spray to the terminals to prevent future corrosion.
Proper Disposal:
Dispose of old batteries at an appropriate recycling center or return it to an auto parts store or mechanic shop for recycling.
